Security Analytics is an approach to cybersecurity focused on the analysis of data to produce roactive security measures. This module will help students to understand basic cybersecurity analytics concepts. The students will realise that the field of security analytics is growing, is full of potential, offers a robust solution for organisations looking to stay on top of vulnerabilities and is one step ahead of cybercriminals. Students will learn that the benefits of security analytics include the sheer volume and diversity of information that can be analysed at any one time. Seeing the results of the analysis and having the ability to act on them quickly are forms of returns on investment. Students will get to understand that security analytics can be implemented for a wide variety of use cases, from user behavior monitoring to network traffic analysis.
Job Description:
1. Facilitate students’ learning and discussion forum on the online platform
2. Conduct weekly virtual lecture or workshop
3. Write assessment brief with detailed analytic marking rubrics
4. Grade and provide feedback on assignments submitted by students
5. Participate in teaching team or assessment meetings
6. Respond to student’s enquiries in a timely manner
7. Provide learning support through individual or small group consultation
8. Prepare marking samples and module report with analysis of student performance
Job requirement:
- A PHD or Master's Degree in related discipline from a reputable university
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level
- 5 years of relevant work experience will be an added advantage
