Details of the Division and Team:
At the heart of Deutsche Bank’s client franchise is the Corporate Bank. One of the key factors that have allowed the Corporate Bank to deliver growth over and above the rest of the market is the bespoke client solutions delivered by the Trade Finance & Lending Structuring (“TFLS”) team in Singapore. Our TFLS team is holistically responsible for identifying, developing, structuring, marketing and successfully implementing complex customer situations and customized products across all TFL product areas and asset classes. This team has a mandate to develop new structures and client solutions to drive revenues, develop relationship with client to identify and originate new flows and risk functions in the respective TFL product areas, corporate coverage, all 2nd-line functions and product management. TFLS team has delivered complex Trade Finance & Lending solutions across a variety of sectors and all markets in Asia Pacific and has completed transactions across a variety of sectors including Commodities. Power Generation, Transportation, Telecommunications, Infrastructure etc, using a variety of products including Documentary Trade, Working Capital and Lending solutions.
The TFLS team is seeking to expand its TFL business especially within the MNC and large local corporates in Singapore. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about trade finance flows and structured solutions. With rising intra-regional trade and increasing demand for complex financing requirements of large corporates, TFLS team in Singapore is positioned to support Deutsche Bank’s corporate clients in accessing structured financing solutions to fund operations in APAC.

Your key responsibilities:
Responsible for origination, structuring and execution of structured trade finance & lending transactions (including preparation of information memoranda, credit analysis, term sheets and financial models) for Large corporate /MNC clients in Singapore and intra-region Trade Finance flows;
Expand Singapore as a hub for booking offshore transactions for clients in APAC countries
Responsible for driving TFL revenues within Singapore and key APAC markets
Responsible for the preparation, submission and presentation of credit proposals and perform credit risk analysis including working on financial models;
Work with Clients and internal APAC teams (Trade Finance & coverage) to expand Singapore as a hub for booking offshore transactions for clients in APAC countries
Assess and analyze specific client circumstances in conjunction with the relevant product teams, and provide the relevant solutions and debt advisory;
Responsible for the preparation, submission and presentation of credit proposals and perform credit risk analysis;
End to end responsibility to structure and implement transactions with various teams including legal, finance and accounts, distribution, credit, collateral management and operations;
Provide product leadership to the Singapore corporate coverage universe, with respect to product offering of TFLS across the trade finance and loan product spectrum;
Your skills and experience:
At least 8 - 10 years of relevant client facing & sales experience, focusing on Structured Trade Finance solutions, around Documentary Trade, Working Capital and Lending Products
Deeper understanding of the & experience of handling MNC/ large local corporates for trade finance products
The incumbent must generate sales leads from client discussions, structure solutions around client requirements and participate in senior level client discussions / solution pitch.
Strong credit & financial analysis skills including experience in credit analysis
Hands-on experience and ability to lead end-to-end deal process including due diligence (regulatory, compliance), credit proposals, term sheets, legal documentation and working with external counsels
Regional exposure in managing clients is required for this role
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
