[What the role is]
Lecturer (Student Development) /School of Engineering
Β [What you will be working on]
- Teach General Engineering or Business Process Engineering subjects such as Qualitative Methods and Process Improvement, Statistics, Maths, and Electronics.
- Organize experiential learning activities, such as Youth Expedition Projects and service-learning programs.
- Manage projects and events, and support ad-hoc student development initiatives.
- Design and conduct leadership training programs and workshops to support student development.
- Mentor student leaders to foster holistic growth.
- Facilitate portfolio-building opportunities and encourage participation in awards and scholarships.
- Liaise with industry and overseas partners to create meaningful learning opportunities for students.
[What we are looking for]
- Qualifications in Education or Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Resourceful, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
- Analytical and project management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Be flexible to work occasionally on weekends or evenings and travel for work when required.
- Strong passion for education and student development, experience with students with special educational needs will be an added advantage.
- Experience in risk management and event planning,
- Patience in addressing feedback from students and parents.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Knowledge of government financial and procurement policies will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in Japanese and/or German would be an added advantage.
- Entrepreneurial or startup experience will be an advantage.
