Lecturer (Student Development) /School of Engineering

 [What you will be working on]

• Teach General Engineering or Business Process Engineering subjects such as Qualitative Methods and Process Improvement, Statistics, Maths, and Electronics.
• Organize experiential learning activities, such as Youth Expedition Projects and service-learning programs.
• Manage projects and events, and support ad-hoc student development initiatives.
• Design and conduct leadership training programs and workshops to support student development.
• Mentor student leaders to foster holistic growth.
• Facilitate portfolio-building opportunities and encourage participation in awards and scholarships.
• Liaise with industry and overseas partners to create meaningful learning opportunities for students.

[What we are looking for]

• Qualifications in Education or Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Resourceful, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Analytical and project management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Be flexible to work occasionally on weekends or evenings and travel for work when required.
• Strong passion for education and student development, experience with students with special educational needs will be an added advantage.
• Experience in risk management and event planning,
• Patience in addressing feedback from students and parents.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
• Knowledge of government financial and procurement policies will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in Japanese and/or German would be an added advantage.
• Entrepreneurial or startup experience will be an advantage.
