About the role

As Manager, Employee Communications APAC, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and execution of employee communications initiatives to effectively engage employees on Swiss Re Asia's strategy and cultural transformation to drive business impact. This includes supporting the smooth implementation of communications to foster staff engagement in alignment with the business unit's priorities. You will also help implement initiatives to strengthen our employer brand to help attract and retain talent across APAC. In addition, you will work closely with the location management teams to meet the communication needs and ensure consistency with broader divisional communications. You will be supporting the planning and implementation of coherent and impactful communications initiatives for our strategy roll-out across the region, working closely with internal stakeholders across APAC and the regional/global Communications team. This would include key employee engagement activities in APAC such as regional reinsurance townhalls and dialogues led by business heads. You will also work in close collaboration with the APAC communications team to manage the demand for other employee communication activities in the region to ensure consistency and alignment.

 

Tasks

  • Serves as Manager, Employee Communications APAC, providing solutions to meet employee communications needs.
  • Implements internal and communication initiatives that raise employee awareness and understanding of Group / Regional strategy, must-wins and Oneness.
  • Manage platforms that engage all APAC employees in discussions.
  • Supports the implementation of integrated campaigns to raise awareness and positioning of Swiss Re as employer of choice for digital, data and tech talents.
  • Supports efforts to drive focus in internal comms around strategically relevant topics with clear differentiation of purpose and use across new communication channels.
  • Support and raise SR's employer branding visibility through targeted channels
  • Raise SR’s position/voice on the key Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) focus areas across internal/external channels, supporting employer brand.
  • Support internal comms on OTWYW, provide clarity on how we will work in the ‘new normal’
  • Develops key messages and ensures consistency
  • Writes and curates content for a range of communications channels from social media campaigns to monthly staff e-newsletters.
  • Supports Asia-wide townhalls, web-based conferences and activities in relation to the annual Asia internal conference & writes/edits internal announcements/messages and supports internal communications in relation to Business Contingency Management
  • Measures success based on KPIs

About You

• A University degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration
• 5-7 years of professional-level experience
• Working experience with an MNC preferred.
• Experience in working with diverse cultures and have an understanding of cross-cultural nuances
• Strong story-telling and writing skills, journalistic background would be an advantage
• Proven skills in deploying social and digital media
• Strong project management and planning capabilities
• Hands-on experience in delivering creative, efficient and effective employee focused marketing initiatives
• A healthy level of attention to detail
• Stamina and persistence to pursue new ideas
