About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Manager with people management skills to provide strategic HR leadership and champion the development and growth of the workforce. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of human resources practices in the retail industry and be dedicated to creating an exceptional work environment for all company employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance on HR-related issues to the executive team and department heads.
  • Lead the HR department, overseeing all HR functions and processes.

HR business partnering:

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their objectives and provide strategic HR guidance.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Proactively identify HR issues, opportunities, and solutions to drive business success.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment by promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, diversity and positive employee experience.
  • Manage employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
  • Advise and support managers in employee performance management and development.
  • Investigate and address employee grievances, conflicts, and performance issues.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits packages.
  • Monitor industry trends and benchmark our compensation practices against competitors.

HR Policies and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations.
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures as needed to reflect current laws and industry best practices.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

  • Establish and monitor HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Provide regular HR reports to the executive team.

Team Management:

  • Lead and develop the HR team, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing HR department.

What you will bring along with you

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree/diploma in human resources, Business, or a related field, with at least 8 years of relevant experience and 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience within the retail/consumer industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with exceptional stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals as well as to navigate in complex situations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software.
