We are recruiting a Supply Chain Manager for our world-leading Aerospace client. This is a full-time permanent position based in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the Materials team in the areas of Planning, procurement, shipping and inventory store.
  • Planning of procurement, production, inventory control, logistics and distribution. The manager ensures that every step of the process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost sales opportunities.
  • Manage and formulate the operational flow of procurement, supply development, inventory control, logistics and Warehousing in order to ensure supply effectiveness and to achieve lower cost of materials, shorter lead-time and optimizing overall inventory.
  • Manage relationships between many different vendors. Must communicate the company's needs and objectives to line managers and key personnel in procurement, development/manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
  • Identify, control, segregate and maintain all stock and tools to a serviceable or unserviceable category as designated by the Business Support Director.
  • Responsible for preservation of all articles or parts, while carried in inventory, including parts that are subject to deterioration and shelf-life specifications.
  • Effectively manage internal and external spare resources through timely supply of materials and proper allocation of resources that is in line with operational objectives.
  • Manage a proper system to ensure that materials and inventory complies with aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining all registers on material purchases, requisitions, purchase orders and batching to ensure traceability on approved sources for material purchased.
  • Maintain a competitive inventory level by minimizing obsolescence through accurate forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Continuously identify and implement systematic processes and system improvements while also improving cost reduction.
  • Work with cross region cooperation with respect to strategic Purchasing programs, as well a standardization of procedures and policy governance of the organization.
  • Coordinate with Operations planning and reporting activities to achieve and improve key business performance indicators for Operations.
  • Review and implement processes and procedures to streamline & improve productivity.
  • To ensure effective reporting of material and inventory status.
  • Familiar with the best shipping practices, routes for tracking global shipping expenses while achieving optimal service for the best cost.
  • To ensure KPIs are in place for the department.
  • Conduct RISK analysis, Lean, and 5S initiatives.
  • Implement HSE prevention programs within your activities, ensuring your team members remain informed and play an active role in contributing to HSE development, and seeing that all actions taken help to achieve improvement objectives.
  • Manage the entire premises/facilities to ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Any additional knowledge of materials and sourced used in aviation industry would be ideal.
  • Experienced with MRP/Inventory Control Systems and Logistics Managements.
  • Familiar with shipping/freight forwarding documentation and procedures.
