Our client is an international ship management MNC and in order to support the growth strategy and to support its expansion, our client is strengthening its operations team and is hiring its:

 

Vessel Accountant

Based in Singapore

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Vessel Accounting: Oversee and manage vessel accounting processes to ensure accurate financial records. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and expertise in portage bill accounting procedures 

 

Accounting Management: Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable systems in order. Manage invoice and payment processing and assist in preparation of vessel reports.

 

Inter-Company Reconciliation: Contribute to the financial accuracy by aiding in the reconciliation of inter-company vessel balances.

 

Collaborative Coordination: Work closely with various departments to ensure timely completion of reports. Engage in ad hoc assignments to provide support to the finance and accounts department.

 

Documentation: Ensure timely delivery of data concerning vessel reports to supervisors and support audit requirements and processes.



Requirements

  • Minimum GCE ‘A’ Levels/Diploma/Degree in Commerce or Accountancy 
  • At least 2 - 5 years relevant working experience preferably in Ship Management/Shipping Industry.
  • Proven experience in corporate accounting, preferably within the maritime or shipping industry.
  • Sound knowledge of vessel accounting practices and experience with ship accounting and preparation of shipping reports 
  • Good communication skills - able to converse in fluent English
  • Good employment track record
