Summary:

SpotX is currently seeking a Director, Business Development - APAC to join the team in our Singapore office. This individual is responsible for onboarding and driving revenue from new and existing Platform customers into SpotX, through identifying key partners and assessing inbound leads. This involves prospecting, securing and growing relationships with premium "publishers" in the video ecosystem. "Publishers" include media owners, content producers, O&O websites/apps, connected device & OTT providers that want to monetize across various environments (desktop, mobile, CTV etc).

 

The role of the Director, Business Development - APAC is to explore and understand publishers needs and effectively communicate how SpotX’s ad serving, programmatic infrastructure and data enablement technology can help to achieve their video monetization objectives today and be best structured for the future.

 

Within the role as the lead business relationship owner of a growing ledger of global, regional and local partner accounts, you will be focused on delivering excellent customer service through consultative trusted relationships and working in partnership with the supply account managers and demand facilitation teams.

 

The Director, Business Development - APAC empowers partners to maximize every ad opportunity, as they are chartered with working to ensure an optimal relationship with each account and that each partner’s needs are met.  

 

Making an immediate impact:

  • Secure and grow relationships with premium publishers within the video ecosystem
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing assigned strategic Asia Platform customers
  • Research and identity target account list for designated markets, kept up to date with evolving video landscape
  • Develop and maintain a prioritised account list (new and current) with tiered relationship engagement plan
  • Effectively understand clients current and future needs and how the SpotX product suite can support their own digital transformation
  • Strong knowledge capabilities when understanding the SpotX solutions against competitors
  • Educate and up-sell existing partnerships to utilize full breadth of SpotX’s Ad Serving, SSP, and Platform tools and products
  • Train, educate and influence publishers to utilize SpotX Platform on self-service basis
  • Understand the rapidly evolving ad tech ecosystem for new ideas / opportunities to guide the company’s business strategy and growth
  • Identify new infrastructure opportunities for the company through business development deals and sales efforts
  • Partner with SpotX global product teams to understand global product developments and opportunities this creates for Asia publishers, developing out a localized strategy and execution plan to take new offerings to partners
  • Capture and relay product feedback from Platform customer to various SpotX stakeholders
  • Partner with Global Partner Service team in activating Global strategic accounts in the Asia region
  • Effectively and proactively communicate strategy and solutions to account team and management
  • Partner with Asia Supply and Demand operations teams to best understand buy side needs and develop packaged inventory offering to take to market
  • Work proactively with Asia operations team to execute on behalf of accounts
  • Partner with Asia marketing teams to develop out and attract partner involvement within press releases, case studies, thought leadership, business social sharing and custom events
  • Be an active and positive presence within the SpotX Asia family
  • Travel time expected to be 30% of time

 

Needed SpotX’er talents:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience in the online digital space working with premium publishers, networks, SSPs/DSPs, and exchange platforms
  • Intimate familiarity with online video advertising and the video lumascape
  • Must have a strong ability to present to small and large groups, including industry events
  • Effectively engage in detailed conversations with clients of all seniority levels
  • Ability to understand/present complex products and deal structures
  • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth, and technical environment
