Franklin Templeton is looking for a Events Marketing Specialist, SEA to be based in Singapore. This position will report to the Events Marketing Lead, Asia. The role will manage Events Marketing for SEA, overseeing the planning and implementation of SEA client engagement events. This includes Franklin Templeton proprietary events, third-party sponsored events and distributor-led events, roadshows and other client engagement programs for the SEA region.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
Co-lead event initiatives in SEA, working with the SEA Marketing teams across client segments to plan and deliver programs that support the business strategy
Work with the Events Marketing Lead, Asia, to implement best-in-class standards for managing events, covering the end-to-end process of event planning—including event briefs, research, approvals, invitations, speaker management, venue recce, set-up and design, onsite support, production management (audio-visual and virtual event management), budget management, and post-event analysis
Provide the team with regular updates including post event results and client feedback, making recommendations for future enhancements as appropriate
Manage external event organisers to execute and deliver best in class client experience within the limits of the budget
Manage and keep track of event budgets with a view to cost efficiency
Consistently maintain a SEA events calendar and database which includes (but is not limited to) event metrics, budgets and event collaterals
Develop partnerships within the firm for coverage on industry conferences and events
Knowledge or experience with event platforms such as Cvent, ON24, and Microsoft Dynamics are an advantage
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or relevant experience
Event marketing experience in banking, asset management sector is an advantage, candidates from event agencies with aforementioned experience are also welcomed
Minimum 3 - 5 years of work experience in events management such as roadshows, forum and summits across varying scales: small roundtables (<30) to larger conferences (>150)
Have an eye for detail and is a self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
Possess excellent communication skills and ability to establish effective working relationships across all levels
Creative and innovative, who keeps abreast of trends and makes recommendations to elevate the client experience
Excellent time management and strong agency/vendor management skills
Proficient command of Chinese in writing and oral is preferred due to regional coverage
Results driven, works through obstacles and maintains accountability
Occasional light travel will be
