Description

Role purpose

To support Control Risks SEA Team by providing exceptional finance and operational support to local stakeholders and also ensuring smooth operations between SEA, Group Finance and the Shared Service Centre.

Role tasks and responsibilities

 In collaboration with the Shared Service Centre team, ensure accuracy of month end results (P&L and Balance Sheet)
 Monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliation items ensuring all balances are reconciled and substantiated.
 In collaboration with the Shared Service Centre team, help drive improvement in cash collection process within SEA.
 Ensuring SEA alignment on policies' application and conduct of processes, to drive transparency, reliability and accuracy of financial reporting.
 Ensuring that SEA complies with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements in a timely manner and to high standard.
 With the Financial Controller’s support, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with external partners in the areas of banking, audit and tax advisory.
 Providing oversight, support and advice on local and Group audits and investigations, assuring swiftness of actions.
 Where applicable, build effective communication channels with local tax authorities to better understand requirements and respond to requests.
 Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect taxes, including timely and accurate completion of all tax returns and submissions (GST, corporate tax etc).
 Complete and submit the various annual trade surveys commissioned by the local authorities.
 Tracking and preparedness for upcoming changes within financial compliance, driven by local laws as well as Group guidance.
 Striving to always understand and respond to business' needs, while remaining independent, objective and ethical.
 Support Regional Commercial Finance Business Partner and Regional Financial Controller on regional and global initiatives.
 Be the backup for invoicing activities, if needed.
 Support and suggest improvements in processes and ways of working as the Finance function transitions transactional processes to a Shared Service Centre.
 Other ad-hoc activities as required by the business or function.



Requirements

Knowledge and experience

 Knowledge and experience in a fast-paced and complex business environment

 An engaging, approachable, self-motivated and hands on individual

 Ability to solve problems innovatively and action ideas quickly

 Prior experience in audit or professional services industry is a plus but not necessary

Qualifications and specialist skills

 Degree Qualified/ Preferably CPA

 Minimum 5 years experience.

 Ability to plan, organise and operate with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

 Strong discipline to effectively manage time and resources to meet deadlines.

 Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.

 Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.

 Working knowledge of Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations will be a plus but not necessary.
