Job summary
As an Associate in the APAC GIB Business Management team, you will support the SEA and India Investment Banking business and broader APAC Business Manager initiatives. You will contribute to the Financial & Business Management agenda through reporting, analytics, governance, and execution of strategic priorities, with broad exposure and high visibility across the platform. The role is based in Singapore.
Job responsibilities
- Support the APAC GIB Business Management team in defining, implementing, and delivering business objectives, strategic initiatives, and key decisions, including identifying risks and opportunities.
- Produce and maintain management reporting, including pipeline management, Dealogic tracking, and related business metrics.
- Support expense, budget, and headcount management, including analysis, tracking, and governance routines.
- Execute relevant control steps across the deal lifecycle in partnership with coverage, product, and control stakeholders.
- Coordinate events and business cadence activities (e.g., town halls, planning sessions), ensuring timely delivery and strong stakeholder alignment.
- Partner with regional and global Business Management teams on recurring deliverables, including regulatory-related reporting and analytics requests.
- Work closely with control and support functions to deliver BAU processes and ad hoc projects, ensuring strong execution and risk discipline.
- Prepare high-quality materials for senior audiences, including business planning decks, town hall content, and board-level papers.
- Maintain internal data and reporting hygiene, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's in Economics, Finance or an equivalent degree.
- 3 plus year with experience in Business Management or COO function with basic product and industry knowledge in investment banking
- Experience supporting projects or initiatives (e.g., business growth, process simplification), with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to triage requests, communicate clearly, and escalate issues when needed.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound business judgment and comfort working with data.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in process improvement and driving efficiencies.
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented; able to perform in a fast-paced environment and manage ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize information into clear narratives and presentations.
