Help us get ahead of disease together with our Global Supply Chain Business Area / Process Analytics Internship, 2026: 

Education required: Undergraduate studying a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Engineering discipline with a focus in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering or relevant courses

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a credit-bearing internship

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Internship period: January to December 2026

What will you do?

Assist PAT chemist/engineer to: -

  • Evaluate new Process Analytical Technology (PAT) applications  

  • Develop and evaluate models/digital twins

  • Develop/validate/update PAT chemometric models

  • Commission new PAT equipment

What will you learn?

You will learn:

  • How to operate PAT equipment

  • How to evaluate new PAT applications

  • Health authority guides and GSK’s standards on PAT applications and models

  • Soft skills – influencing, collaboration, team work, presentation, leadership

  • General process engineering skills

  • How to develop/interpret PAT chemometric models and other models

  • How to operate safely and compliantly in a regulated pharmaceutical industry

  • Principles of batch and semi continuous manufacturing

What are we looking for?

  • Individual who is interested in learning more about process analytics and continuous improvement

  • Some knowledge of analytical chemistry and/or experience with analytical instruments would be advantageous

  • Strong written and oral communications skills 

  • Excellent English proficiency 

  • Meticulous, organized, and dedicated
