Job Description

Solution Design & Technical Leadership

  • Lead and manage the process of gathering, analyzing, and documenting complex business requirements, ensuring clarity and feasibility.

  • Design and take ownership of the end-to-end solution architecture for assigned projects, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. This includes actively contributing to the design and development of critical cloud-native components, such as Node.js microservices and APIs, event-driven services using Pub/Sub, and robust API governance via Apigee, aligning with architectural best practices.

  • Actively participate in, and guide the team on, the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Build), and the utilization of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) to automate builds and deployments.

  • Lead and participate in deep code reviews to enforce coding standards, improve performance, and mentor the team in best practices, ensuring code is clean, testable, and adheres to security guidelines and architectural principles.

  • Serve as the primary technical authority and escalation point, taking ownership of high-priority technical incidents and personally leading hands-on investigation and debugging for complex, cross-functional problems to identify root causes and develop robust, preventative fixes.

Execution & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the review and validation of all technical specifications and testing strategies developed by the team, ensuring comprehensive unit, integration, and system testing for all developed features to meet stringent quality standards.

  • Manage the execution of critical System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality outcomes.

  • Lead the deployment process for key projects and act as the escalation point during post-go-live hypercare, ensuring production readiness, fixing vulnerabilities, and adhering to security best practices.

Stakeholder Management, Mentorship & Compliance

  • Serve as the key technical liaison between the project team and business stakeholders, providing clear and consistent updates on progress and challenges, and effectively translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms.

  • Ensure the team produces and maintains high-quality documentation (FRS, SOPs, Process Flows), including comprehensive technical documentation for developed code and solutions.

  • Enforce adherence to all organizational technology rules, security policies, and architectural standards within the team's deliverables, driving continuous improvement in codebase quality and performance, and incrementally reducing technical debt.

  • Proactively mentor team members, building their technical capabilities and ensuring effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Share knowledge and best practices across the team to uplift overall technical capabilities and foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

Solution Design & Technical Delivery

  • Deliver well-architected and clearly documented solutions that effectively translate business requirements into technical reality, demonstrated by the successful hands-on design, development, and deployment of critical, scalable, and secure cloud-native applications and microservices.

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for the project team, consistently resolving complex design challenges, technical blockers, and high-priority incidents through hands-on investigation and effective implementation of fixes, ensuring architectural consistency, system stability, and preventing recurrence.

  • Achieve high standards in API governance, security, and performance for developed services, as evidenced by monitoring metrics, successful security audits, and adherence to established SLAs.

  • Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, clean, and efficient application code, system enhancements, and integrations based on approved technical designs.

Project Execution & Quality Excellence

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet all quality benchmarks, with minimal post-deployment issues, through robust CI/CD implementation, efficient Infrastructure as Code practices, and comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, system).

  • Drive a culture of quality and accountability within the analyst team, leading to improved testing coverage, more robust solutions, and a demonstrable reduction in technical debt and recurring incidents.

  • Foster the professional growth of team members through active coaching and mentorship, resulting in uplifted technical capabilities and widespread adoption of best practices across the team, thereby increasing squad velocity.

Stakeholder Management & Compliance

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with business counterparts, ensuring alignment and managing expectations effectively.

  • Maintain a high standard of documentation and knowledge sharing, improving transparency and business continuity.

  • Successfully guide the team to deliver compliant solutions that pass all internal audits and reviews, adhering strictly to security best practices and operational excellence standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 5–8 years of progressive IT experience in Software Engineering, Systems Analysis, Solution Design, or Technical Business Analysis.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM/CSPO, or ITIL Foundation are an advantage.

  • Experience in Logistics, Postal, Supply Chain, or Warehousing industries preferred.

  • Strong experience gathering business requirements, producing functional specifications, and translating business needs into technical solutions.

  • Experience in SDLC, Agile (Scrum/Kanban), system implementation, release management, hypercare support, SIT, and QA.

  • Knowledge of system integration technologies, including REST/SOAP APIs, EDI, and SFTP.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably GCP, Azure, or AWS), IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), observability, logging, and monitoring tools.

  • Experience with Node.js, microservices architecture, and design patterns such as CQRS, Saga, and Eventual Consistency.

  • Familiarity with Google Apigee, Pub/Sub, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Firestore, and Cloud SQL is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to align technology solutions to business objectives.

  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, lead and mentor teams, and drive projects from planning through implementation while ensuring business continuity.
