Interpret and clarify client contracts and project specifications to define a precise scope of engineering deliverables.
Support project management in developing and maintaining process engineering schedules and deliverable trackers.
Prepare and oversee the development of core engineering documentation including:
Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs)
Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Heat and Mass Balances (H&MB)
Cause and Effect Diagrams, Material Handling Plans, and Safety Logic Charts
Develop detailed start-up, shutdown, and control philosophies in alignment with operational and safety requirements.
Execute detailed equipment sizing and hydraulic design calculations for pumps, filters, pressure vessels, separators, tanks, and pipelines
Conduct process modelling and performance assessments of water and wastewater treatment systems, with emphasis on industrial applications.
Author and validate technical reports including Process Design Basis, Utility Summaries, Vent and Drain Reports, etc.
Prepare process datasheets for instrumentation and mechanical equipment in accordance with project standards and codes.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil teams to ensure alignment and integration of process inputs into multi-disciplinary deliverables.
Perform and lead inter-discipline design reviews and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Coordinate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless transition of engineering into execution.
Prepare and manage Technical Queries (TQs) and lead resolution discussions with clients and vendors.
Review and comment on vendor documents and design packages to ensure compliance with contractual and process requirements.
Participate in third-party reviews and workshops (e.g., HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA) and ensure that outcomes are implemented within the design.
Provide technical support throughout project phases including: Detailed Engineering, As-Built Engineering, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Performance Testing.
Contribute to the development of Operating Manuals, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning procedures.
Participate in client and internal progress meetings, and provide engineering insights and action closure.
Compile and maintain structured process design documentation packages for submittals, including drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Develop operator training materials and manuals to support system handover and plant operations.
Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives by mentoring junior engineers and coordinating knowledge-sharing activities.
Bachelorβs degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 8 yearsβ experience in industrial water/wastewater treatment, with demonstrable expertise in process engineering and system design.
Proven experience delivering FEED and EPC projects, ideally within the Oil & Gas, Offshore (FPSO), or modular water treatment sectors.
Strong background in skid-mounted and packaged system design for complex industrial applications.
Experience in site-based commissioning, operational troubleshooting, and process optimization is highly advantageous.
Proficient in engineering software tools such as Aspen HYSYS, AutoCAD, and related hydraulic and process modelling tools.
Familiarity with international codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., API, ASME, IEC, ISO).
Willingness to travel to project sites, client offices, and vendor facilities as required.
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
