Our client is a well-respected global travel retailer. We are currently partnering them to look for a Manager, Infrastructure and Technical Operations. The candidate will lead the IT Infrastructure Team in implementing changes within the technical infrastructure of the Regional headquarters and oversee the local Retail entities within the Asia Pacific while maintaining the security and reliability of the network, hardware and other computer systems.

Your new job includes
• ensure alignment and adherence to the Global IT governance guidelines and be the expert in managing network and hardware-related projects within the Region, both at Headquarters and Retail entities as well as discussions relating to new business opportunities.
• implement effective project management plans with considerations on technical requirements, security and compliance pre-requisites, project budget and resource allocation.
• coordinate all matters relating to IT infrastructure, connectivity, network administration and workplace systems to ensure that it runs smoothly and reliably for all its Users within the Region, including creation and deletion of User accounts, installation and maintenance support to network and hardware tools such as printers, mobile devices, phone, video and door systems.
• liaise with internal and external service providers during implementation of project roll-outs as well as procurement and maintenance services of hardware and network products.
• respond timely to cases logged via the ticketing system and escalate matters requiring further resolution to the Global Team while also analysing trends and issues to avoid recurrence of technical issues.
• equip other stakeholders and Team Members with information and updates relevant in the effective use of IT resources available, including creation of user manuals, processes and guidelines.

What you should bring along
• a Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related Technical discipline.
• a practical technical experience of at least 7 years in managing Microsoft platforms, Active Directory administration, PC, laptop, handheld devices, TCP/IP (DNS/DHCP), Apple IOS, network and cabling works.
• a solid technical experience with Windows 10 Operating System, MS Teams collaboration tool, Office 365 suite and on-premise and/or cloud-hosted infrastructure, with proficiency in using MS Visio and MS Excel.
• proven capability of managing team members based onsite and remotely located in APAC outlets.
• familiarity on the IT setup required for a corporate office and/or Retail business and working knowledge on SAP system or any other ERP systems available in the market.
• strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills, in particular in dealing with contractors, vendors and other stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
• a systematic way of organising and setting priorities based on business needs as well as logical and rationale approach in problem solving with entrepreneurial mindset and passion.
