Job Description

Job Overview:

The Meetings and Events Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing the entire event lifecycleβ€”from initial sales consultation to flawless execution. This role is responsible for driving revenue through strategic event sales while ensuring seamless coordination between clients and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Management

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients to generate new business opportunities.
  • Present and promote event spaces, services, and tailored solutions to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability while meeting client expectations.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving logistical concerns.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Oversee end-to-end event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and contract finalization.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings with internal teams (Banquet, Operations, F&B) to ensure smooth execution.
  • Act as the main liaison between clients and operational staff during event setup and delivery.

Business Development & Strategy

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to boost event bookings and revenue growth.
  • Analyze sales performance, track key metrics, and maintain accurate records for reporting.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to enhance service offerings and competitive positioning.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Collaborate with Banquet, Culinary, and Operations teams to align client expectations with service delivery.
  • Ensure all event details are communicated effectively for flawless execution.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in event sales, hospitality, or MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in OPERA is a plus.
