Manulife Pricing Interns are exposed to a multitude of pricing/modelling experiences. There is a strong learning culture within the team, and interns are encouraged to be pro-active about any questions or doubts they might have; be it to clarify about the tasks given, technical difficulties, or even actuarial concepts. Interns work on tasks that are material to the pricing team, and the team does not shy away from trusting interns with more technically demanding jobs if capability in doing so is demonstrated.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Excel Post-Sale Illustration templates for in-force servicing requests.Β
- UAT testing for new product launches which involves extensive use of Excel and VBA.
- Peer review of pricing models on AXIS (Actuarial Software), giving interns insight into how benefits and reserves are modelled in a life-insurance company.
- Build Policy Illustration templates and relevant calculations.
- Other ad-hoc tasks assigned.
Requirements:
- Β Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn
- Attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Able to commit 10 weeks from May 2025 to July 2025
