Reserving Actuarial Intern

The Opportunity:

Here in Zurich Singapore, we provide interns with the opportunity to explore the actuarial reserving career path. Interns will be assigned to support the team in financial reporting deliverables, process improvements, ad hoc projects and more. They will be well positioned to lead automation projects and interact with other departments, such as Finance, Claims and Data Analytics. Thus, we are looking for highly motivated individuals who are willing to learn, to work independently and to collaborate.

​​Key Responsibilities:

• Support the team during the quarter end reporting by upholding high data quality while meeting deadlines. 
• Provide feedback relating to the quality and efficiency of processes and systems to improve their performance. 
• Improve processes and introduce automation to improve efficiency while maintaining high data quality 
• Manage administration tasks to support internal audit deliverables and improve documentations.
• Support ad hoc projects

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Penultimate student (3rd year or 4th year) 
• Full time for 6 months 
• Proficient in: Excel 
• Degree in Actuarial Science, or any related field (Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Finance, etc) 

Good to have:

• Proficient in: R coding, Power BI, VBA 
• Past actuarial internship/s 
• Pass at least one preliminary actuarial exam
