Key Responsibilities:

BUSINESS CONTROLLING/PARTNERING

  • Serves as the primary finance business partner, support business operations by partnering business teams to meet corporate objectives and decision support
  • Manage and lead the development on analyses, simulation models/business cases to support planning and decision making
  • Monitor monthly actual results against budget, highlighting variances & make recommendation to meet the business objectives
  • Prepare monthly management reports & review results with management
  • Ensure adequate internal controls are in placed

BUDGETING/FORECASTING & VARIANCE ANALYSIS

  • Analyze revenue, profitability by brand / customer / channel / market with quality commentary
  • Provide analytical support to cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc projects
  • Build budget figures with brand managers
  • Systematic variance analysis with quality commentary/business insight to support business objectives

FINANCIAL REPORTING

  • Tracking, reporting and analysis of key financial performance indicators
  • Ensure closing activities are complete, accurate & timely in a SSC environment
  • Prepare monthly management reports and review audit schedules.
  • Controller for stocks and capex management

COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements including audit, tax, corporate secretarial preparation/enquiries etc.
  • Manage internal audit exercise; and liaise with the relevant parties

IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS

  • Support ad hoc improvement projects
  • Improve processing efficiency and capabilities

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent with at least 5 to 10 years of experience in Financial & Business Controlling
  • Self-starter, excellent financial analysis and communication skills
  • Preferably with retail industry experience (especially in fragrances and cosmetics is added advantage)
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight reporting timeline
