Key Responsibilities:
  • To Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for industrial PLC products.
  • To Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.
  • To Collaborate with electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical designs with other system components.
  • To Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure design quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • To Develop and maintain design documentation, including requirements, specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • To Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.
  • To Identify and resolve design issues and implement improvements based on feedback and testing results.
  • To negotiate / propose alternative choices of technical solutions to the project & management to meet the objectives of the given assignment.
  • To provide technical status progress update to the project & management
  • To provide support and training needed to the plant during initial start-up of production.
  • To actively participate and contribute to innovation activities.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of [5] years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the industrial automation or electronics industry.
  • Having design background in plastic product design, metal stamping design and die-casting design
  • Highly proficient in Computer Aided Design and Engineering (High ProE proficiency required, Solid Works, Unigraphics and Auto-CAD are good for supplemental experience), to model into 2D/3D/Assembly as mandatory requirement in mechanical design process.
  • Open-minded and willingness to experiment within acceptable boundaries and creative mind to bring novel solutions into design and problem-solving.
  • Must be able to present & demonstrate scientific facts related to the design. e.g: calculation, simulation, science paper, experimental information etc to justify the design feasibility and possess skills on applying technical mitigation plan when necessary.
