POSITION PURPOSE
The Regional Financial System Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing our financial systems. This position requires a deep understanding of financial principles, IT systems, and strong managerial skills. The person in this role will be responsible for supporting the Finance Lead in overseeing and managing the SAP project for the Asia region for FY25-26 and continue to improve SAP with governance after that.
This role involves meticulous planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Additionally, it ensures that our financial systems, including satellite systems, meet the organization's needs and requirements.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Finance System
- Development and Implementation: Oversee the development and implementation of new financial systems (e.g., ERP).
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the systems.
- Procedures: Create and maintain procedures for inputting, processing, and reporting financial data.
- Training: Train and support staff in the use of financial systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Data & IT department to ensure system security and data integrity.
- Audits: Conduct regular system audits and upgrades to improve efficiency.
- Backups: Manage system backups and disaster recovery plans.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor system performance metrics.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards such as Japan-SOX.
- Trend Monitoring: Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of financial systems including ERP update.
Project Management
- Project Support: Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans including scope, goals and deliverables, project schedule, team resources, and relevant budgets.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring projects stay within financial limits.
- Communication: Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including finance, DIT, and operation teams, to ensure project alignment with business objectives and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Risk Management: Help identify potential financial risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- System Implementation: Assist in overseeing the implementation of new financial systems and ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing processes.
- Finance Master Data Cleansing: Analyze financial master data to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, and errors. Perform data cleansing activities to rectify identified issues and ensure data accuracy.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to support project decision-making and identify cost-effective solutions.
- System Testing: Participate in the testing and implementation of new financial systems to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Training: Assist in training key users on new financial systems and processes.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.
- Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports on project status, budget, and performance to senior management.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with financial regulations and standards.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations, to ensure project success.
