Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of software for automated equipment.
• Oversee and contribute to software coding, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
• Lead the team in maintaining, reviewing, and improving legacy code to ensure performance and reliability.
• Define system architecture for new designs and produce technical documentation to support design decisions.
• Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the automation and machinery industry.
• Proficient in Visual C# programming, particularly with WinForms applications.
• Experience in web application development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is an added advantage.
• Familiar with fieldbus protocols such as Modbus and EtherCAT, as well as Winsock and serial communications.
• Knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Omron) and experience with motion control systems (e.g., IAI, ADLink).
• Demonstrates strong willingness to learn and quickly adapt to new technologies.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Willing and able to travel and work at customer sites locally or overseas on an ad-hoc basis when required.
