Job Description

In search of a Mid-level Associate to join our Banking and Finance practice in Singapore.
 

Our team advises across the full spectrum of legal banking and finance matters, representing parties ranging from senior lenders, mezzanine lenders and private credit funds on the creditor side and multinational corporates, investment grade and non-investment grade borrowers and issuers and funds across various jurisdictions in South East Asia and the Asia Pacific.
 

As part of the collaborative and supportive team at Norton Rose Fulbright, you will gain exposure to high-quality banking and finance matters, providing an excellent career development opportunity. You will be involved in both cross-border and domestic transactions on a wide range of financing matters including acquisition finance, asset based lending, fund finance, real estate finance, receivables finance, structured trade and commodities finance, securities borrowing/lending, TMT financing and other areas of general banking and finance. The team advises on both English law and Singapore law.
 

We are seeking an Associate with strong technical expertise and drafting skills, capable of managing banking and finance matters with appropriate supervision and demonstrating exceptional teamwork. The candidate should possess the ability to develop strategies, understand the commercial aspects of financial transactions, and provide practical, business-oriented advice to our international clients.
 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Mid-level (3 to 5 years UK equivalent PQE), qualified in Singapore, England & Wales or their equivalent in a common law jurisdiction.

  • Prior experience in banking and finance is mandatory.

  • First class legal and drafting skills.

  • Excellent case management and organization skills.

  • Excellent written and communication skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and an excellent team player.

  • Strong academic background.

  • Familiar with general banking, structured finance and all other aspects of structured lending.

  • Acute willingness to learn and to take their experience to the next level.

  • Demonstrates strong ownership and initiative, approaching tasks proactively with a positive, can-do mindset
