We are seeking an experienced Chemicals - Ship Broker to join an established broking desk in the Singapore office. This position is ideal for a professional with 2-3 years of experience who is highly motivated, driven, and has a strong network of chartering and owning clients. Job description:
Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and close Chemicals (easy chemicals, edible oil acids, biofuel, oldefins, petchems and LPG) chartering deals
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the desk
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers and traders
• Provide clients with market intelligence and strategic insights
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth contract execution
• Take ownership of growing the desk, whilst also working with other departments and assist in scaling the Chemicals business
Skills required:
• Established relationships in the Chemicals sector
• Demonstrated success in closing deals
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
• Proactive mindset with a focus on results
