[What the role is]

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team to safeguard the environmental and public health of Singapore. You will be part of the Vector Control and Operations Division responsible for planning vector-borne diseases surveillance, prevention, and control programmes. An evidence-based, integrated vector management approach underpins the work that the Division does and requires close partnership and concerted efforts by multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders.

[What you will be working on]

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Contract management, where you will:
    • Review and enhance operational and audit processes for vector control services and supplies contracts (with focus on Gravitrap-related projects), integrating digital solution where applicable.
    • Liaise with NEA Regional Offices to monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with service standards
    • Process payments for completed works, with inputs from NEA Regional Offices
    • Manage and monitor budgets
    • Ensure smooth running of service and supply contracts
    • Analyse contract performance data and develop insights to be presented through report or briefings.
  • Assist in the planning and procurement of vector control services/supplies contracts by drawing insights from current contract management experience and recommending improvements to contract specifications and requirements
  • Work closely with key external/internal stakeholders to review and improve operational processes, including preparing for and conducting trainings when required
  • Assist to conduct in-house Vector Control training, which includes the managing of training materials to keep them current, coordinating training sessions for officers, and collecting and using participants’ feedback to enhance the program.Β 
  • Assist to review, revamp, and/or provide inputs for publicity materials, ensuring alignment with organisational branding guidelines
  • Any other duties with regard to Vector Control work

[What we are looking for]

Requirements:

  • 1-2 year of relevant working experience in contract management will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Enjoy thinking strategically, planning and applying analytical reasoning in operations management
  • Meticulous, with an eye for detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, multi-task, and adapt effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
  • Mature, independent, and resourceful
  • A committed team player with a positive attitude
  • Willing to work after office hours, if required
