Healthcare AI Research Intern

IN-CYPHER, the flagship programme of Imperial’s Singapore research presence, is hiring an AI Research Intern to work across on clinical/medical/healthcare AI. You will have the opportunity to explore and contribute to the bleeding edge research on models, methods and approaches for some of the tasks across the healthcare spectrum, including, but not limited to, clinical natural language processing, medical imaging, medical signal processing, and others. The exact nature of the project will depend on your interests and abilities.

Requirements:

Education:

Currently enrolled in or have completed an undergraduate or graduate program in a STEM field. Tech-savvy students from life sciences are also welcome!

Background:

• Ability to Code
• Familiarity with statistics and machine learning, including specialisations, such as Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and similar
• Ability to analyse and work with large datasets
• Ability to work independently

Main Duties:

• Independently reproduce state-of-the-art methods (e.g., set up virtual environments, replicate training/evaluation pipelines), understand codebases, and read related papers.
• Develop and improve method frameworks under guidance; select and test new datasets; and produce clear, reproducible experiment reports.
• Plan and execute work efficiently with good time management, communicate progress promptly, and collaborate effectively with the team.
• Uphold high standards of research integrity.

Stipend: $1,500 per month.

Duration: 6 months
