Lecturer (Architectural Technology & Building Services) / School of Engineering
[What you will be working on]
- Conduct lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions for full-time and part-time students.
- Plan, review, design and develop course/subject teaching materials and assessments.
- Supervise and develop student capabilities in projects.
- Perform collaboration with industry to enhance studentsβ learning via local/ overseas study trips and alumni partnership program.
- Support the schoolβs initiatives through involvement in outreach programmes, committee work, field trips, projects and events.
[What we are looking for]
- Qualifications in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Architecture/ Building Sciences or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in an Architectural/ Mechanical & Electrical/ Environmental Design consultancy firm.
- Strong analytical skills to plan, manage and develop training programs in BIM authoring tools, Virtual Design Construction (VDC) with a Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Skills certifications such as Autodesk Revit Certified Professional/Associate, BIM Modelling/Management, and BSS- Digital Delivery Management will be an added advantage.
- Conduct simulations in multiple ESD software such as IES, BIMHVAC, Sketchup, Sefaira, and other computational design tools like Dynamo, Rhinoceros, Phyton, etc.
- Perform bioclimatic analysis in building simulations, identify environmental impacts, and propose sustainable design measures. The certification of GMAP, LEED, WELL, EDGE, GRI Certified Sustainability Professional will be an additional advantage.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication abilities to share knowledge and interact with youth.
