About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Business Operations Management to lead the centre’s administration. The Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of the research centre, including the execution of the centre’s strategy, fostering partnerships, and organising key research events. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations, Governance & Resource Management

  • Lead the implementation of the research centre’s mission, objectives and targets

  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation to support research and operational needs

  • Support staffing and work closely with HR partners on research staff recruitment plans

Stakeholder Engagement & Outreach

  • Develop and build strong relationships and partnerships between the centre, NTU leadership, faculty members, industry partners and external funding entities

  • Facilitate industry collaborations, outreach, and funding efforts.

Strategic Planning, Reporting & Research Support

  • Assist the Centre Director in strategic planning, performance reporting, and data analysis to support the centre’s leadership

Supervisory & Mentorship Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to the team supporting the centre’s operations, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, finance, public administration, science or related fields

  • At least 6–8 years of relevant working experience in a university, healthcare or research institute environment

  • Experience in budget management, financial reporting and policy compliance

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

  • Ability to navigate complex administrative and financial systems

  • Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently

  • High integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive matters.
