.NET Software Engineer - Athena

The role will initially involve maintaining the firm’s legacy financing system which is used to verify the firms trading costs against the street and for allocating the charges to the firm’s trading groups.

This system is in the process of being replaced by a new re-architected C#/Angular based system called Athena and the candidate would be expected to assist with its rollout and eventually transition to work on the new system.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business users in US, APAC and UK to translate business requirements into a technical solution.
• Software development and testing
• Data analysis to help answer enquiries from the business and troubleshoot production issues.

Required Experience:

• Self-starter, energetic, independent work ethic
• Ability to work as part of a global team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 3+ years of C# or similar programming language experience.
• SQL Server programming experience with an understanding of stored procedures, views, and indexes
• Good problem solving and analytic skills
• Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience working with continuous delivery tools
• Experience with capital markets concepts and operational structure

Nice to Have:

• Python
• AWS knowledge
• Experience working with Finance or Treasury domains a plus
• Continuous integration environments – Teamcity, Git / GitHub, Octopus Deploy
