Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore (RRIS) is a tripartite research institution under Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National Healthcare Group (NHG), and Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). The research scope of RRIS includes clinical assessment of movement ability of various pathological cohorts, such as neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, with a strong emphasis on data-driven movement analysis. RRIS works very closely with clinical partners from the Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and Woodlands Health Campus (WHC).
RRIS is seeking to hire a responsible and talented Project Officer/Research Associate for the rehabilitation research.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and/or implement qualitative and mixed-method research projects related to social-health integration, psychosocial impact of physical environment, and rehabilitation-related topics.
Conduct qualitative data collection, including and not limited to interviews, focus groups, field observations and participatory research methods.
Develop data collection tools such as interview guides, PhotoVoice manuals, focus group scripts, and observation checklists.
Conduct qualitative data analysis using thematic analysis, content analysis, or grounded theory approaches.
Facilitate the planning of research projects and support research-related activities, such as recruiting participants and liaising with external partners.
Contribute to academic manuscripts, reports, poster and oral presentations, abstracts and grant applications.
Contribute to quantitative and/or mixed-method (qualitative and quantitative) data analysis and interpretation of findings.
Assist in project management, such as ethics applications, project progress tracking and managing audit trail.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master's Degree in population health, therapy, psychology, social sciences, social work or related courses
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in qualitative research and analysis.
Experience in healthcare sector would be preferred.
Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to speak multiple languages and dialects will be a plus.
Familiarity with qualitative software such as NVivo, Altas.ti or Dedoose.
Knowledge in quantitative research methods, analysis and use of quantitative tools such as SPSS or Stata would be advantageous.
Able to work independently, as well as work well in team settings.
Keen interest in research, conscientious and motivated.
Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
