About the role 

Tourism Australia is seeking an enthusiastic Regional Marketing & PR Executive to support with the implementation of key consumer marketing and PR initiatives across Southeast Asia (“SEA”). This role will work closely with our regional SEA marketing team to manage key media relationships, and support with the implementation of regional marketing initiatives that align with business objectives such as PR, advocacy, and campaign activation programs to enhance Tourism Australia’s brand visibility within the region.  

 

This is a 6-month full-time contract opportunity based in our Singapore office and reports into the Regional Marketing Manager, South/SEA. You will be responsible for:  

  • Supporting functional managers with the planning and execution of key PR & Campaign activation projects 
  • Responding to day-to-day media enquiries & issues 
  • Managing reports for PR and Campaign teams  
  • Managing administrative tasks and financial processes  
  • Coordinating industry attendance at trade events/road shows/functions  
  • Planning key events, roadshow and functions  
  • Sourcing promotional materials, images and video clips for campaign activities 
  • Providing support with content and brand asset requests from industry partners 
  • Supporting with the rollout of PR activities including media visits, media relations, media monitoring and reporting 
  • Assisting with the curation of content marketing materials  
  • Monitoring media channels, reporting on results, updating information in relevant databases to ensure accurate records and to demonstrate a return on investment 
  • Coordinating key advocacy programs, including influencer partnerships and brand ambassador initiatives 

                    About you  

                    • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing preferred, or other related field  
                    • Minimum two years’ experience in a marketing & PR executive position 
                    • Based in Singapore with full, unrestricted working rights  
                    • Highly developed English language skills (reading/writing and oral/aural)  
                    • Working knowledge of MS Office 
                    • Good understanding of the Southeast Asian and Australian travel industry  
                    • Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation  
                    • Strong organisation and time management skills  
                    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision  
                    • Willingness to be flexible with working hours and travelling as part of a multinational organisation 
                    • Have an understanding of content production workflows, including video editing, asset management, and basic post-production processes will be advantageous.
