About the Company
Our client is building a novel asset-issuance protocol for event futures, where outcomes trade as liquid tokens with asymmetric, uncapped upside. By turning real-world and onchain events into programmable assets, the platform enables event-based speculation and continuous price discovery for users to express conviction, hedge scenarios, and trade shifting probabilities throughout the lifecycle of an event.

The Ideal Candidate
You're a pragmatic engineer who is not precious about working across the stack — if the growth team needs a quick internal dashboard, you build it; if an integration partner has a technical question, you unblock them. You have strong backend fundamentals but can context-switch into frontend, data queries, or partner-facing work without losing momentum. You bias toward efficient, effective solutions and know when to go deep versus when "good enough" is the right call. You're comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift based on what the business needs to win.
Role Responsibilities
As a software engineer, you'll be building the backbone of the protocol and implementing the growth team's go-to-market strategies. On any given day, you might:
- Build and maintain backend systems for consumer-facing products
- Build and maintain services that support go-to-market strategies, from feature requests, campaigns, and operations to data pipelines and analytics
- Collaborate closely with the growth team to translate non-technical requirements into well-scoped technical work
- Identify and implement the most efficient path to solving problems — scope tightly, avoid unnecessary rabbit holes, and deliver high-impact output
- Ship functional frontends when needed — internal tools, partner-facing pages, dashboards. They don't need to be pixel-perfect, but they need to work.
- Serve as the technical contact for external partners — answering queries, providing documentation, and debugging issues
Technical Requirements
- 2+ years building production-grade, user-facing web apps with Golang / Python / TypeScript
- Strong API design skills and familiarity with best practices
- Solid experience in crypto, ideally having supported GTM or growth functions in a startup environment
- Comfortable with SQL/PostgreSQL and working with on-chain data
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows
- Experience with real-time, event-driven systems is a plus
- Experience building frontend interfaces is a plus — internal tooling, dashboards, and partner pages count
Soft Skills
This is a small, flat team, so independence, curiosity, and great communication go a long way. You should:
- Care deeply about code quality — security, performance, architecture, maintainability
- Think ahead: understand how one design choice can ripple across the system
- Understand product goals and translate them into solid technical decisions
- Speak up when something doesn't feel right — honest opinions over silent agreement
- Get creative when roadblocks appear; resourcefulness is part of the fun
What's on Offer
- Competitive salary + equity
- Opportunities for professional growth and advancement
- A collaborative team culture that values innovation and creativity
